At the start of 2019, we were busy refurbishing the non-clinical areas, with general decorating and new carpets throughout.
During 2022 we have completed the full surgery refurbishment and renewal and invested heavily in new equipment, to enable us to bring you the best in Dental Care, as well as providing a safe environment in which we can treat you.
Pictures of the full refurbishment will be published shortly ...
Also during 2022, we have welcomed 2 new members of staff, Lucy & Deborah. Lucy joins the team as a fully qualified dental nurse, and is also our Oral Health Educator. Deborah is currently our trainee nurse, working towards her NEBDN qualification in November 2024.
Andrew has expanded his working clinical times, providing additional clinics, due to the increased demand for our services. Andrew has recently travelled to Kenya twice again with the SmileStar Dental Charity, with his youngest daughter Amelia providing acute emergency dental care to the deprived populations of Kenya, in November 2022 visiting Kisumo and Samburu, then Mweiga and the Masai Mara in April 2023.
We are welcoming Sawmea to the team as our Dental Therapist in January 2024, in addition to providing hygiene appointments, she will also be able to combine and provide your dental examinations, dental x-rays, impressions and some restoration types. We will be able to provide a much enhanced appointment availability from January 2024.
